Bio

Clarkson was a three-time national team member (1977, 1978, 1980) and a two-time All-American (1978, 1980). She won four NWC titles, including the 100m and 200m breaststroke and 100m individual medley in 1978, and the 200m breaststroke in 1980. At the time of her graduation, she held Willamette records in the 100m breaststroke, 200m breaststroke, and 400m medley relay.  After her athletic career, she became head coach of McNary High School's swimming and golf teams, earning Oregon Coach of the Year honors multiple times before retiring.
