Gerald “Jiggs” Burnettt, Jr. earned First Team All-Northwest Conference honors as a baseball catcher in 1960 and 1961 and was named Honorable Mention All-NWC as a third baseman in 1963. He was named NAIA All-District 2 as a catcher in 1961. In football, Burnett was chosen First Team All-Northwest Conference in 1962 and 1963. In 1962, he earned recognition as a First Team NAIA All-District 2 selection at wide receiver. The Oregon Journal awarded him Northwest Conference All-Star status in 1962 and 1963. Burnett was a captain of the baseball team in 1962 and 1963 and the football team in 1963.
