Roy Harrington played football, basketball and baseball for the Bearcats. He earned All-Northwest Conference honors in football and baseball and received Willamette's J.H. Booth Award in 1949-50. After graduation he played baseball with the Coquille Loggers in the semi-pro Southern Oregon League. He went on to be a coach for 27 years, including 17 seasons as the baseball coach at Grant High School in Portland, Oregon. He was inducted into the NAIA District 2 Hall of Fame in 1977.
