Todd Simis was a highly successful quarterback for the Bearcats. When he graduated, he held school records with five touchdowns in a game, 25 touchdowns in a season, 473 passing yards in a game and 2,673 passing yards in a season. He also owned Willamette single-season records with 211 pass completions and 337 passing attempts. His 473 passing yards against Simon Fraser University (Canada) on Oct. 27, 1990, is still the school record. He was named All-Northwest Conference twice and was ranked in the top 10 of the NAIA in passing twice. In 15 seasons of coaching football at Capital High School in Boise, Idaho, he has led the team to the playoffs 14 times.
