Bio
Dan Stocker was a four-year letterman in track and field at Willamette. He placed in the NWC high hurdles each year, including a tie for 4th place in 1973 with a time of 15.4 seconds. Stocker also placed fourth in the 120-yard high hurdles in 15.6 seconds as a freshman in 1970. He registered a season best of 15.3 seconds in both 1970 and 1973. Stocker was selected as an NAIA District 2 Scholar-Athlete in 1973. Stocker earned a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Columbia University. He won an Engineering Excellence Honor Award for his structural work on the Oregon Convention Center. In 1996, he rode a bicycle from Portland, Oregon, to Portland, Maine, as a fundraiser to support adoption of children with special needs.
