Leslie (Wilday) Deuster was a four-time All-America swimmer in the 100-yard breaststroke and earned NAIA All-America honors three times each in the 200-yard breaststroke and the 200-yard individual medley. She received NAIA All-District 2 honors six times. Wilday set or tied eight school records, including the 50-yard breaststroke (32.21), 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.34), 200-yard breaststroke (2:30.23) and 200 yard individual medley (2:15.35). She won four Women's Conference of Independent Colleges (WCIC) individual championships in the 100-yard breaststroke and one in the 200-yard breaststroke. As a sophomore, she won the 100-yard breaststroke with a WCIC record time. Wilday was named Willamette Female Athlete of the Year in 1986.
