Aaron Young registered All-America honors in cross country twice, finishing 27th in the nation in 2001 and 15th in 2002.  He won Northwest Conference individual cross country titles in 2000 and 2002, and finished fifth in the NWC in 2001 and 2003. His efforts contributed to Willamette winning NWC team titles in 2001, 2002, and 2003. At the time of his induction, he ranked third all-time at Willamette in the 4-mile race at 19:34.4 and was fourth in the 8-kilometer race at 24:24.64. In track and field, Young was the NWC Champion in the 10,000-meter run in 2003, after finishing second in 2001. He helped the Bearcats win NWC track and field team titles in 2002 and 2003. His best time in the 10,000-meter run (31:39.24) currently ranks ninth in school history.
