Bearcats and Pioneers to Play Non-Conference Game on Wednesday, April 5

SALEM, Ore. -- The baseball teams from Willamette University and Lewis & Clark College will play a non-conference game on Wednesday, April 5 to make up a game that was postponed due to the weather on March 29. Game time at John Lewis Field is scheduled for 4 p.m. (PST).

Willamette enters Wednesday's game with a 20-11 record. The Bearcats lead the Northwest Conference with a 13-5 mark. Lewis & Clark is 5-25 on the season, 4-14 in the NWC.

The Bearcats have won four of their last five games, including a three-game sweep of 17th-ranked Pacific Lutheran Univesity this past weekend.

Tyler Esquivel (Jr., RF, Filmore, CA/Filmore HS) tops the Willamette offensive chart with a .358 batting average. Connor Bailey (So., LF, San Diego, CA/Scripps Ranch HS) is hitting .319 and leads the Bearcats with five homers, 22 RBIs and a .549 slugging percentage. He is tied for first on the team with seven doubles.

Eric Del Prado (Jr., 1B, El Segundo, CA/Loyola HS) owns a .311 batting average. He has earned 21 RBIs this season. Troy Conway (Jr., 2B, Moorpark, CA/Moorpark HS) is batting .299 with a team-high 26 runs scored, and has recorded seven doubles to tie Bailey for the team lead.

Matt Steindorf (So., RHP, Granite Bay, CA/Granite Bay HS) is 6-2 as a starting pitcher for the Bearcats. He has a 4.23 earned run average and 40 strikeouts in 61 2/3 innings pitched. Dawson Campos (Fr., RHP, Reno, NV/Galena HS) has a 1.31 ERA over 20 2/3 inning during eight relief appearances.
