Willamette to Take on Northwest Christian in Men's Basketball

Bearcats and Beacons to Battle at 7:30 p.m. in Eugene, Ore., on Dec. 10

SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University men's basketball team will battle Northwest Christian University in Eugene, Ore., on Saturday, Dec. 10 in a non-conference game. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. (PST). Willamette, which competes in NCAA Division III, is 1-7 on the season, while Northwest Christian, which competes in the NAIA, is 6-6 overall.

Northwest Christian will be playing its second game in as many nights. On Friday, the Beacons defeated William Jessup University, 73-63. Willamette lost to NCAA Division I opponent Montana State University, 109-64, on Wednesday.

Taylor Mounts (Sr., Wing/Post, Kailua, HI/Iolani School) leads the Bearcats with 18.1 points and 9.1 rebounds per game. Ryan Meehan (Sr., Wing, Beaverton, OR/Beaverton, OR/MSU-Billings) ranks second on the team with 13.3 points per game.

Trevor Parker tops NCU with 12.4 points per game. Jordan Buhler follows with 10.3 points per game. Buhler is the Beacons' leader on the glass with 6.0 rebounds per night.
