    SALEM, ORE. -- Incoming Willamette University freshman men's basketball player Nathan Sherfey (G/W, Chehalis, WA/W.F. West HS) has received the 2014 Male AAU High School Sullivan Award presented by the Amateur Athletic Union. The prestigious award is named after James Sullivan, the founder of the AAU, and recognizes leadership, character and sportsmanship.

Grant scored 22 points and went 4 for 5 on three-point attempts to lead George Fox University to an 86-78 win over Willamette University in a Northwest Conference men's basketball game on Saturday, Feb. 22 at the Wheeler Sports Center. The Bruins concluded the season with a 16-9 record, including 9-7 in the NWC.

    SALEM, ORE. -- Arvid Isaksen broke a 71-71 tie on a layup with 1:21 remaining in overtime, and Seth Anderson sank a jump shot with 38 seconds left, as Pacific Lutheran University defeated Willamette University, 77-71, at Cone Field House on Friday, Feb. 21.

    SALEM, ORE. -- The University of Puget Sound escaped Cone Field House with a 67-63 win on Saturday, Feb. 15 after Willamette University rallied from a 10-point deficit with 6:46 left. Willamette held a two-point lead with just under a minute remaining and the game was tied with only a few seconds on the clock.

Willamette shot 55.6% for the game (25 of 45), while Linfield shot 45.8% (22 of 48).

Zitani hit 10 of 18 field goals, including one 3-pointer, and made 4 of 5 free throws.

Willamette led 31-23 at halftime and took a 10-point lead with the first basket of the second half, but went the next 9:15 without scoring.
