Men's Basketball Game Set for Saturday against NW Indian College is Postponed

SALEM, Ore. -- The men's basketball game between Willamette University and Northwest Indian College, originally scheduled for Saturday, Dec. 8 at Cone Field House, has been postponed due to a limited number of active players for the Eagles. The game has been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 12 at Cone Field House with tipoff set for 7 p.m. (PST).

Willamette defeated Portland Bible College 87-54 on Friday, Dec. 7 in the Bearcats' first home game since the season opener. Jordan Jenkins (Sr., F, Placentia, CA/Valencia HS) scored 20 points, while Trent Callan (Sr., G, Portland, OR/Lincoln HS) provided 15 points and Caleb Roberts (Sr., W, Salem, OR/North HS) added 12. Jenkins and Callan each grabbed 10 rebounds. Callan set a career high with the 10-rebound effort, surpassing his previous top total of nine rebounds against Portland Bible on Dec. 30, 2016.

The next game for the Bearcats is set for Thursday, Dec. 20 against the University of California, Santa Cruz. Game time at Cone Field House is slated for 2 p.m. (PST).
