Men's Basketball Match-up on Friday, Jan. 12 at Puget Sound Changes to 6 p.m.

SALEM, Ore. -- The Willamette University men's basketball game against the University of Puget Sound on Friday, Jan. 12 has been moved to 6 p.m. PST due to the weather. The men's game with the Loggers will follow the women's game between the Bearcats and Puget Sound, which will begin at 4 p.m. The game times are two hours earlier than originally scheduled.

Willamette holds third place in the NWC men's basketball standings with a 3-2 record. Puget Sound is one-half game behind the Bearcats, tied with Whitman College for fourth place at 2-2. Willamette is 8-5 overall and the Loggers are 6-7.

Josiah Frank (Jr., G, Turlock, CA/John H. Pitman HS) is the Bearcats' top scorer with 17.0 points per game, including a career-high 35 points against Pacific Lutheran University on Jan. 6. Jack Boydell (Grad., W, Sonoma, CA/Sonoma Valley HS) has contributed 16.3 points per game, while Ryder Hsiung (Jr., G, Honolulu, HI/Punahou School) has earned 11.5 points per contest. Caleb Moore (So., G, Wadley, GA/Washington County HS/Bard College) also has averaged in double figures with 10.4 points per game.

D'Ante Dean (Jr., F, Nassau, Bahamas/British Columbia Christian Acad./Peninsula College) ranks first on the team with 7.7 rebounds per game. Kahiau Bruhn (So., W, Waimanalo, HI/Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama) follows with 6.4 boards per night. Moore leads WU with 2.2 steals per game.

Willamette has scored 92.1 points per game, which leads the NWC and is third in NCAA Division III. The Bearcats are averaging 9.4 three-pointers per game and are shooting 74.1% at the free throw line (223 of 301).

Puget Sound is paced by Taj Phillips, who has averaged 13.9 points per game. Liam Ruttledge has provided 13.5 points per game and Dezman Baker has averaged 10.7 points per contest.
