Adversalo is Fourth with a 76 after First Round of Pacific Invitational

BANKS, ORE. -- Willamette University senior Shane Adversalo (Honolulu, HI/University Laboratory School) concluded the first round of the Pacific Invitational in fourth place with a score of 76 on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Quail Valley Golf Course. Justin Ahrens from Northwest Christian University shot a 73 to hold first place with one round remaining. The final 18 holes will be played on Sunday, Sept. 27.

Pacific University was on top of the team standings with a score of 308. Northwest Christian was second at 318. Linfield College was third at 321 and Willamette was fourth at 331.

Ahrens held a one-stroke lead over Max Bonk of Pacific, who ended the round in second place with a 74. Mike Ulstad of George Fox was third at 75, with Adverasalo just one stroke behind in fourth. Ben Wright from Pacific was in fifth place with a 77.

Robbie Beard (Sr., Yankon, SD/Yankton HS) of Willamette was tied for 10th place at 81. WU's team score was completed by Taylor McKenzie (So., Hermiston, OR/Hermiston HS) with an 86 and Sam Church (So., San Carlos, Ca/Sequoia HS) with an 88.
