Kukula Selected for NCAA Division III PING All-West Region Team
May 13, 2015SALEM, Ore. -- Willamette University senior Ryan Kukula (Ocean Park, WA/Ilwaco HS) has been named to the NCAA Division III PING All-West Region Team for the 2014-15 season by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA). Kukula was one of 24 athletes from the West Coast and Texas selected for All-West Region honors. -
Bearcats Win NWC Tournament, but Whitworth Claims Conference Title
April 26, 2015SUN RIVER, ORE. -- Willamette University won the 2015 Northwest Conference Tournament by 16 strokes, as the 36-hole event concluded on Saturday, April 26 at Crosswater Golf Course. Whitworth University took second place in the tournament and edged out Willamette for the overall NWC Championship by a single point.

Whitworth University won the team championship with a score of 608. Pacific Lutheran University was second at 625 and Willamette was one stroke behind the Lutes at 626.

The Bearcats recorded a team score of 301 to win by three strokes over Linfield College at 304. Pacific University was third at 342. Clark Wilson (So., Ocean Park, WA/ Ilwaco HS) of Willamette and Taylor Klopp of Linfield tied for medalist honors at 73. Steven Rodriguez (Jr., Red Bluff, CA/Mercy HS) of WU placed third just one stroke back at 74. Peter Mitzel (So., Red Bluff, CA/Red Bluff HS) for the Bearcats and Grant Loriaux of Linfield tied for fourth place at 75.

October 25, 2014NEWBERG, ORE. -- High winds and rain forced a suspension of play in the NWC Fall Classic for men's golf and women's golf at the Chehalem Glenn Golf Course on Saturday, Oct. 25. Play was partially completed when the conditions became too severe. Action resumed at 4 p.m., but darkness prevented the first round from being completed.
