SALEM, Ore. -- Andrew Kibbee (Fr., Kenmore, WA/Bothell HS) has been chosen as the Northwest Conference Men's Golf Student-Athlete of the Week after earning his first individual tournament victory at the college level during the Pacific Spring Invitational on Feb. 23-24 at Quail Valley Golf Course.

Kibbee shot 144 to win the 36-hole event by two strokes. He shot 69 in the first round and carded a 75 in the second round. His 69 tied for the low round of the tournament.

"We're all really excited and proud of Andrew. He's worked really hard to get to this point," Willamette Head Coach Patrick Daugherty said. "We feel like we have five guys who can win each weekend, and it was his weekend."

In addition to earning the individual championship, Kibbee helped Willamette claim the team title. The Bearcats shot 286 over the first 18 holes and 296 in the second round for an overall score of 582 to win by 34 strokes.

The Bearcats will host the Willamette Valley Cup on March 16-17 at Creekside Golf Club in Salem, Oregon. The tournament will feature 18 holes each day.
