SALEM, ORE. -- With a 10-7-2 record in the bag for their first winning season since 2000, several players from the Willamette University men's soccer team received some well-deserved individual recognition as seven Bearcats were awarded with All-Northwest Conference honors.

Mike McGrew (Sr., MF, Portland, Ore./Grant HS) was selected First Team All-NWC. Etienne Galbreath (Sr., D, Portland, Ore./Grant HS), Erik Kaufman (Sr., F, Portland, Ore./Grant HS) and Trevor Jensen (Jr., MF, Chula Vista, Calif./Bonita HS) were named to the Second Team. Three Bearcats -- Kevin Martin (Jr., D, Cardiff-by-the-Sea, Calif./Francis Parker HS), Austin Jacobson (Fr., MF, Salem, Ore./South Salem HS) and Yazan Hishmeh (Fr., F, Ventura, Calif./Saint Bonaventure HS) -- each received Honorable Mention All-NWC recognition.

Willamette's seven selections are a record for the men's soccer team since the Bearcats and the rest of the NWC joined NCAA Division III in 1998. The previous best for selections was four, which Willamette achieved in 1999, 2001 and 2002.

First Team All-Northwest Conference

Mike McGrew Mike McGrew (Sr., MF) is the first Bearcat to be named First Team All-NWC since 2003, and one of only eight for WU since 1998. McGrew was one of the most productive players for the Bearcats this year, finishing second on the team with five assists and third on the squad with 30 shots.
