SALEM, Ore. -- The Northwest Conference doubleheader for Willamette University at Linfield University on Saturday, May 4 has been postponed. No make-up date has been finalized. The Bearcats and the Wildcats are still scheduled to play a doubleheader at the WU Softball Field in Salem on Sunday, May 5, starting at 11 a.m. Senior Day announcements will begin at 10:40 a.m. on Sunday.

Willamette enters Sunday's game with a 17-17 overall record, including 13-11 in the NWC. The Bearcats are in fourth place in the NWC, in front of George Fox University (12-14) in fifth. The top four teams in the final NWC standings will qualify for the NWC Softball Tournament, set for May 10-12. Linfield is currently 36-0 and ranked #2 in this week's NFCA Top 25 Coaches Poll for NCAA Division III. The Wildcats are 24-0 in the NWC.
