Jones is Chosen NCAA Division III All-West Region in Indoor Men's Pole Vault

SALEM, Ore. -- Willamette University pole vaulter Elijah Jones (So., Salem, OR/Central HS) has been named NCAA Division III All-West Region in the men's pole vault for the 2024 indoor track and field season by the U.S. Track & Track and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The top five individuals in each event at the end of the indoor regular season qualified for All-Region honors. Jones was ranked #3 in the West Region.

Jones' best indoor pole vault cleared 15' 3.75" at the Whitworth Indoor Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 10. He cleared 13' 7.25" at the George Fox University Indoor Meet #1 on Saturday, Feb. 3, before elevating his height by just over 20 inches one week later.

The Willamette track and field teams will compete outdoors at the Lane Community College Open on Saturday, March 10 in Eugene, Oregon.
