CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Willamette University women's track and field athletes Whitley Stepp (So., Silverton, OR/Regis HS) and Erica Snyder (So., Longview, WA/Mark Morris HS) both tied for fourth place in the high jump along with two other competitors at the OSU High Performance on Saturday, April 27.
Stepp and Snyder each cleared 5' 3.75". Also tying for fourth place at 5' 3.75" were Savannah Reilly from Oregon State University and Delaney Bahn of OSU. Alison Calvin-Stupfel of Portland State University matched the four competitors tied for fourth place by clearing 5' 3.75", but Calvin-Stupfel took eighth place on jumps.
Dede Norman won the event for the Beavers by jumping over 5' 9.75". Grace Proudfoot from Oregon State was second at 5' 7.75" and unattached athlete Isla Stewart placed third at 5' 5.75".
Up next for the Willamette track and field teams will be the Oregon Twilight, hosted by the University of Oregon. The meet will be held at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, on Friday, May 3.
