Men's Team, Mucken earn USTFCCCA Academic honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. — Willamette University track and field athlete Steeley Mucken has been named a 2024 NCAA Division III Men's Track & Field All-Academic Athlete by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The Men's team was also named a USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.

Student-athletes earned the award through academic and athletic success. Each All-Academic athlete recorded a cumulative grade point average of 3.30 or higher (4.0 scale) while either competing at the NCAA Division III Championships or by finishing the regular season ranked in the top 50 nationally in an individual event or in the top 35 in a relay event.

To be named an NCAA Division III All-Academic Team, a cumulative team GPA (not 2023-24 academic year, not semester) of all student-athletes who used a season of eligibility must be at least a 3.1. The Willamette women's track and field team had a cumulative GPA of 3.45.

545 athletes from 143 NCAA Division III institutions were named All-Academic Athletes and 174 teams were named All-Academic Team.
