SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University women's basketball game at Linfield College, originally scheduled for Tuesday, Nov. 27, has been postponed. No make-up date has been determined, although the teams plan to reschedule the game.

The postponement resulted from most of the Linfield team becoming ill from what is thought to be food poisoning during the Wildcats' trip to California this week. Linfield previously canceled the final two games of the five-game trip.

Willamette is still scheduled to compete at the Capital City Classic, hosted by crosstown rival Corban University, on Friday, Nov. 23 and Saturday, Nov. 24. The Bearcats will open the tournament against nearby rival Western Oregon University on Friday at 12 p.m. (PST).

The Bearcats will take on either Corban or New Hope Christian College (Ore.) on Saturday, with pairings and times determined by Friday's results.

Julia Brand and the rest of the Bearcats hope to play at Linfield later in the season.
