SALEM, Ore. -- Britanny Kochenderfer (Sr., G, Klamath Falls, OR/Henley HS/Idaho State Univ.) from Willamette University has been named Second Team All-Northwest Conference in women's basketball for the second consecutive year in voting by the NWC head coaches for the 2018-19 season. Kochendefer led the Bearcats with 14.6 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.

The 2018-19 All-Northwest Conference Women's Basketball Team included six players on the First Team and five players on the Second Team, while seven players received Honorable Mention. Jamie Lange, a junior post from University of Puget Sound was chosen NWC Women's Basketball Player of the Year. Forward Delsie Johnson of Lewis & Clark College was selected NWC Women's Basketball Freshman of the Year. Head Coach Michael Meek from George Fox University was named NWC Coach of the Year.

Willamette ended the season with an 11-14 overall record, including 6-10 in the NWC. The Bearcats were 8-8 in their final 16 games. Willamette was 4-3 in the last seven games, with two of the losses in overtime.

Second Team All-Northwest Conference

Britanny Kochenderfer (Sr., G) started all 25 games for the Bearcats this season. Her 10.8 rebounds per game ranked second in the NWC, and she was seventh in the NWC with her 14.6 points per game. She set a Willamette single season record with 271 rebounds this year, breaking the previous record of 270 rebounds, set by Donna Kamala in 1987-88. She was first for the Bearcats with 30 blocked shots (1.2 avg.) and 35 steals (1.4 avg.). She was second on the team with 54 assists (2.2 avg.).

Kochenderfer contributed double-digit scoring in 21 games this year and scored 20 or more points six times. She recorded 16 double-doubles in points and rebounds. She currently ranks fourth in NCAA Division III this year with 10.0 defensive rebounds per game. She is 14th in the nation in double-doubles, 38th in total rebounds and 45th in rebounds per game.

In addition to setting the Willamette record for rebounds in a season, Kochenderfer also set the record for rebounds per game. She finished ninth on the single season list in points scored (364) and in points per game. She was third in field goals attempted (364), ninth in 3-point baskets (55) and sixth in three-point attempts (164).

Kochenderfer scored a career-high 27 points against Whitworth University on Jan. 26, 2019. In that game, she also earned a career high with five steals and tied a career high with four blocked shots. She grabbed a career-high 19 rebounds against Pomona-Pitzer (Calif.) on Nov. 20, 2018 to tie for second on Willamette's all-time single game list.

In 2017-18, Kochenderfer averaged 11.6 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. She helped the Bearcats go 17-10 overall, including 12-4 in the NWC during the regular season. The Bearcats defeated Whitman in the NWC Tournament semifinals before falling to George Fox in the championship game.

Kochenderfer, who transferred to the Bearcats from Idaho State University prior to her junior season, completed her Willamette career with 677 points and 468 rebounds. She also achieved 108 assists, 68 steals and 57 blocked shots. She attained double-figure scoring 39 times in 52 games played, and earned 21 double-doubles during her career. She tied for third at Willamette in career scoring average with 13.0 points per game. She finished second in career rebounds per game (9.0) and was seventh in total rebounds.
