ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Willamette University women's golfer Anushka Srivastav (So., Pune, India/Mahindra International School) was tied for seventh place when the Battle at Bar Run was suspended due to the weather on Monday, March 13. Most of the 17 competitors in the tournament had completed between eight and 10 holes when play was suspended.

The tournament hosts from Southern Oregon University hope to resume the event on Tuesday with the completion of the first round, followed by the second round. It's also possible the first round will have to be canceled and only the second round will be played. A decision will be made on Tuesday, depending on the weather and the condition of the golf course.

When play was stopped, Payton Canon and Maiya Baker, both from Oregon Institute of Technology, were tied for first place at even par. Haley Brown of Southern Oregon was third at 4-over par, while Brittany Barrington of Oregon Tech was in fourth place at 5-over par. Baylee Hodgman from Oregon Tech held fifth place at 6-over par, while Kelly Dunn of Corban University was in sixth place at 7-over par. Srivastav and Thyra Alvatter from SOU were tied for seventh place at 9-over par. Abby Furrow from Corban was in ninth place at 10-over par.

In addition to Srivastav, Mallory Tolliver (Fy., Columbus, OH/Upper Arlington HS) and Kennedy Raphelt (Jr., Canyon City, CA) are competing for the Bearcats. Tolliver was at 15-over par and Raphelt was at 19-over par.

Oregon Tech led the team standings at 11-over par through about nine holes. Southern Oregon was in second place at 35-over par. Willamette and Corban did not enter full teams in the tournament.
