Wilson is Chosen for weekly NWC Defensive Honor in Women's Lacrosse

SALEM, Ore. -- Willamette University's Analise Wilson (So., MID, Temecula, CA/Chaparral HS) has been selected as the Northwest Conference Women's Lacrosse Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week for her efforts in games played by the Bearcats on Saturday, March 5 and Sunday, March 6. Willamette won both games, defeating Whitworth University 17-3 on Saturday and downing Whitman College 18-15 on Sunday. The Bearcats are 3-0 on the season and 2-0 in the NWC.

Wilson led the Bearcats on defense during the two games as she accumulated nine ground balls, gained six draw controls, and caused nine turnovers. In Willamette's victory against Whitworth, she forced seven turnovers. She also contributed on offense with two goals and five assists on the weekend. Wilson recorded three assists versus Whitworth, and then provided the Bearcats with two goals and two assists against Whitman.

Willamette is scheduled to play at George Fox University on Saturday, March 12 in Newberg, Oregon. Game time is set for 1 p.m. (PST). The Bearcats will return home to take on Linfield University at Sparks Field on Sunday, March 13 at 1 p.m. (PDT).
