Bachiochi Earns NWC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week

SALEM, Ore. -- Willamette University first-year attacker Lily Bachiochi (Henderson, NV/Coronado HS) has been chosen Northwest Conference Women's Lacrosse Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week for her performances against Pacific University on Wednesday, March 30 and the University of Puget Sound on Sunday, April 3. Bachiochi scored a total of nine goals and two assists for 11 points in the two road wins. Willamette defeated Pacific 15-1 and outscored Puget Sound 13-9.

The wins advanced the Bearcats' record to 8-3 overall, including 5-1 in the NWC. Willamette is set to return to action on Saturday, April 9 at 1 p.m. (PDT) with an NWC game at Whitworth University in Spokane, Washington.

Bachiochi tallied six goals and two assists in the victory at Pacific. In Willamette's win at Puget Sound, she scored three goals. During the week, she was 3-for-3 on free-position shots and had three ground balls, while forcing one turnover.

For the season, Bachiochi is tied for the team lead with 28 goals and ranks first on the team with 24 assists and 52 total points. She has taken 55 shots, including 42 shots on target. She has contributed 19 ground balls.
