Bachiochi Chosen NWC Women's Lacrosse Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week

SALEM, Ore. -- Lily Bachiochi (So., ATT, Henderson, NV/Coronado HS) of Willamette University has been selected as the Northwest Conference Women's Lacrosse Student-Athlete of the Week for her efforts as the Bearcats went 2-0 in games on Saturday, March 4 and Sunday, March 5. Willamette defeated Pacific University 19-10 on Saturday and outscored Linfield University 15-10 on Sunday.

Bachiochi scored 10 goals and earned four assists for 14 total points in the two games. At Pacific, she scored six goals and two assists. Against Linfield, she contributed four goals and two assists. She also earned four ground balls and one caused turnover against the Wildcats and had one draw control versus the Boxers. She moved past the 100-point mark in her career and has 110 points on 57 goals and 53 assists in just 23 games.

Her eight points at Pacific tied her for fifth on Willamette's single-game list, while her six goals against the Boxers tied her for sixth all-time. It was the fifth time Bachiochi has scored eight points in a game.

Willamette is 5-1 on the season and 3-1 in the NWC. Bachiochi is the team's overall scoring leader this season with 29 points on 15 goals and 14 assists. The Bearcats will play at Whitworth University on Saturday, March 11. Game time in Spokane, Washington, is set for 1 p.m. (PST).
