SALEM, Ore. -- Willamette University has received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) College Women's Team Academic Award for the 2014-15 academic year. A total of 586 women's soccer teams earned the award at all levels of collegiate play.
The College Women's Team Academic Award requires a combined team grade point average of 3.0 (4.0 scale) for all players who were on the team during the fall season. Willamette qualified for the award with a 3.33 team GPA.
It is the third time in five years that Willamette has earned the Team Academic Award. WU also received the honor in 2010-11 and 2012-13.
