SALEM, Ore. -- Willamette University senior forward Emmy Manset (Ventura, CA/Foothill Technology HS) has been named Northwest Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week for the third time this season. She received the most recent honor for her efforts in games against Lewis & Clark College on Oct. 25 and Pacific University on Oct. 28. Earlier this season, she was selected NWC Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week for games played between Sept. 25 and Oct. 1, and for games from Oct. 9 through Oct. 15.

This past week, the Bearcats defeated Lewis & Clark, 3-1, and tied Pacific, 2-2 in two overtimes. Willamette ended the weekend with an 11-4-3 overall record, including an 8-4-2 record (4th place) in the NWC.

Manset scored three goals and one assist in Willamette's two games. She leads the NWC in goals scored with 11 goals this season. She also has earned two assists and ranks second in the NWC with 24 total points.

At Lewis & Clark, Manset scored two goals in a 3-1 win. She earned the game's first goal at 15:31. After L&C tied the game at 1-1 at the 32:19 mark, Manset scored again just 1:02 later to give Willamette the lead for good. Three days later against Pacific, she recorded one goal and one assist. She scored the game-tying goal with 8:55 left, and the Bearcats went on to tied the Boxers, 2-2 in two overtimes.

Manset was a force in both games for Willamette, ash she took a total of 17 shots, including 14 shots on goal. She was credited with nine total shots and six shots on goal against the Pioneers. She earned eight total shots -- all on target -- against Pacific.

Willamette will honor its four seniors, including Manset, when the Bearcats host University of Puget Sound during Senior Day on Saturday, Nov. 4 at Sparks Field. The seniors will be honored prior to the game. Kickoff is set for 12 p.m. (PDT). The Bearcats will close out the season on Sunday, Nov. 5 at George Fox University in Newberg, Oregon. The game against the Bruins will start at 12 p.m.
