Women's Tennis to Start Season against Jessup University at WU Tennis Courts

SALEM, Ore. -- The Willamette University women's tennis team will open the 2023-24 season by hosting Jessup University (Calif.) in a dual match on Saturday, Sept. 16 at the WU Tennis Courts. The action is slated to begin at 11 a.m. PDT.

Willamette features eight returning players for the Bearcats. They are Ruby Blake (Sr., La Crosse, WI/Central HS), Alexa de Crinis (So., Makawao, HI/Seabury Hall School), Anika Groener (Jr., Bend, OR/Summit HS), Alicia Sola (Fy., Aumsville, OR/Cascade HS), Richelle Suzuki (Jr., Mililani, HI/Mililani HS), Marie Tarrab (So., Turner, OR/Cascade HS), Ruby Thompson (Grad., Bay City, OR/Tillamook HS), and McKenna Turner (Sr., Junction City, OR/Junction City HS).

Newcomers are Eva Lief (Fy., Anchorage, AK/West Anchorage HS) and Grace O'Steen (So., Phoenix, AZ/Shadow Mountain HS).

Tyler Linscott is in his third season as the director of tennis at Willamette and the head coach of the women's tennis and men's tennis teams.
