Willamette Swimming Teams Earn Scholar All-America Honors
SALEM, Ore. -- The Willamette University men's and women's swimming teams have been honored for their efforts in the classroom by receiving Scholar All-America status from the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for the 2014-15 season. A total of 600 teams at 406 colleges and universities in the NCAA and the NAIA earned the award.

Lum Named NWC Student-Athlete Advisory Committee President for 2015-16
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University men's swimmer Andrew Lum (Jr., Honolulu, HI/Punahou School) has been elected president of the Northwest Conference Student-Athlete Advisory Committee for the 2015-16 academic year. Lum has competed for the Bearcats in swimming for three seasons. and is currently the secretary of the SAAC at Willamette.

Bearcats Earn All-Northwest Conference Recognition in Swimming
SALEM, ORE. -- Six athletes on the Willamette University swimming teams have been named All-Northwest Conference for their efforts during the 2015 NWC Swimming Championships on Feb. 13-15 at the Corvallis Aquatic Center in Corvallis, Ore.

Tallman Swims New WU Record in 200-yard Breaststroke at NWC Prelims
CORVALLIS, ORE. -- Willamette University's Cassie Tallman (Fr., Seattle, WA/Roosevelt HS) set a school record in the women's 200-yard breaststroke during preliminary heats on the final day of the 2015 Northwest Conference Swimming Championships on Sunday, Feb. 15. Tallman earned a time of 2:27.81, breaking the mark of 2.28.67 set by Annette Marinello in 2013.

WU Sets School Record in Women's 200-yard Medley Relay at NWC Meet
CORVALLIS, ORE. -- Two more Willamette University swimming records fell on the second day of the 2015 Northwest Conference Swimming Championships at the Osborn Aquatic Center on Saturday, Feb. 14. The Bearcat women's team set the records in the 100-yard butterfly and the 200-yard medley relay. WU also set two records on Friday.

Tallman Breaks 200 I.M. Record Again, Places Second in NWC Finals

SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University swimming teams will compete this weekend at the 2015 Northwest Conference Championships at the Osborn Aquatic Center in Corvallis, Ore. The NWC Championships will start on Friday, Feb. 13 and will continue through Sunday, Feb. 15.

Wildcats Nip Bearcats in Men's and Women's Swimming
McMINNVILLE, ORE. -- Linfield College edged out Willamette University in men's and women's swimming during a Northwest Conference dual meet on Saturday, Jan. 31 at the Linfield Aquatics Center. The Wildcats defeated the Bearcats, 112.50-92.50 in the women's competition, and earned a 107-98 victory with a win in the final men's event.

Willamette to Close Out Dual Season with Swimming Meet at Linfield

Willamette Swimming Sweeps Lewis & Clark
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University's swimming teams earned their first sweep of the season during a Northwest Conference dual meet with rival Lewis & Clark College on Saturday, Jan. 24 at the Willamette Natatorium. The Bearcat men's team defeated the Pioneers 136-69, while the Willamette women's team notched a 111-93 victory.

Willamette Men, Pacific Women, Win Swimming Meet
FOREST GROVE, ORE. -- The Willamette University men's swimming team and the Pacific University women's swimming team earned wins during a Northwest Conference dual meet on Friday, Jan. 23 at the Forest Grove Aquatic Center. The Bearcat men's team defeated Pacific, 117-87, while the Pacific women's team downed Willamette, 129-74.

Bearcats Set to Swim against NWC Rivals Pacific and Lewis & Clark
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University's swimming teams will take on Northwest Conference rivals Pacific University and Lewis & Clark College this weekend. The Bearcats will battle Pacific on Friday, Jan. 23 at 6 p.m. (PST) in Forest Grove, Ore., and will host L&C at the WU Natatorium on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 1 p.m.

Willamette Swimming Holds Winter Training in San Diego
SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University swimming teams held their annual Winter Training in San Diego, Calif. on Jan. 3-8. It was a great time for improving skills, taking on challenging tasks and having fun.

Bearcats Defeat Southwestern Oregon in Exhibition Meet
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University defeated Southwestern Oregon Community College in men's and women's swimming during an exhibition meet at the WU Natatorium on Saturday, Jan. 10. The Willamette men's team won 180.5-63.5, while the Bearcat women's team was victorious 177-24.

Yuvienco Chosen NWC Men's Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University swimmer Mark Yuvienco (Fr., San Jose, CA/Bellarmine College Prep) has been named Northwest Conference Men's Swimming Student-Athlete of the Week after helping the Bearcats earn the Willamette Invitational team title on Saturday, Nov. 22. Yuvienco won two events during the meet.

Bearcat Men's Team Wins Willamette Invitational in Swimming
SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University men's swimming team won the Willamette Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 22 at the WU Natatorium. The Bearcats scored 201.5 points, while College of Idaho took second place at 171 and Pacific University was third at 157.5. 

Bearcats to Compete in Willamette Invitational in Swimming
SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette Invitational in men's and women's swimming will be hosted by the Bearcats on Saturday, Nov. 22 at the WU Natatorium, starting at 10 a.m. (PST). Swimmers will compete in 100-yard and 200-yard races in each of the strokes, plus the 50, 500 and 1,650 freestyle events, 200 individual medley and two relays.

Pacific Lutheran Downs Willamette in Swimming
SALEM, ORE. -- Pacific Lutheran University outscored Willamette University in men's and women's swimming on Saturday, Nov. 15 at the WU Natatorium. The PLU women's team defeated the Bearcats, 147-58. The men's team for the Lutes downed Willamette, 135-70.

Bearcats to Host Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran in Swimming
SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University will host University of Puget Sound and Pacific Lutheran University in Northwest Conference swimming meets this weekend. The Bearcats will take on the Loggers on Friday, Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. (PST), and will swim against the Lutes on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 11 a.m.

Puget Sound Edges Bearcats in Men's Swimming on Final Event, 104-101
SALEM, ORE. -- The Willamette University men's swimming team provided University of Puget Sound with quite a battle at the WU Natatorium on Friday, Nov. 14. The Bearcats held a 97-91 lead entering the final event, the 200-yard freestyle relay. Puget Sound took first and third in the relay to slip past the Bearcats, 104-101.

Tallman Wins Two Events, but Whitman Downs Bearcats in NWC Swimming
WALLA WALLA, WASH. -- Whitman College downed Willamette University in men's and women's swimming on Saturday, Nov. 8 in Northwest Conference action. The Missionaries won the men's competition 152-52, and the Whitman women's team earned a 135-65 victory.

Whitworth Defeats Willamette in Swimming to Start NWC Schedule
SPOKANE, WASH. -- Whitworth University defeated Willamette University in men's and women's swimming to start the Northwest Conference dual match season on Friday, Nov. 7 at the Whitworth Aquatic Center. The Pirates won the men's competition, 155-49, and triumphed in the women's competition, 143-61.

Tallman Places Fourth in Pentathlon during NWC Sprints in Swimming
McMINNVILLE, ORE. -- Willamette University swimmer Cassie Tallman (Fr., Seattle, WA/Roosevelt HS) earned fourth place in the women's pentathlon during the Northwest Conference Sprint Invitational, hosted by Linfield College on Saturday, Nov. 1. The Bearcats placed fourth in both the men's and women's team standings.
