Rob Passage is Willamette University's director of intercollegiate athletics. He joined Willamette in August of 2012 as director of facilities and operations, and was later promoted to assistant athletics director in 2013 and to associate athletics director in 2016. He served as interim athletics director from December of 2016 until he was named athletics director on May 8, 2017.

Passage previously was the assistant director of athletics for facilities and events, as well as the head men's basketball coach and assistant professor of physical education, at Kalamazoo College in Michigan from 2002 through 2012.

Overall, Passage worked at Kalamazoo for all but three years from 1993 until he joined the Willamette Athletics staff. He was hired as an assistant men's basketball coach at Kalamazoo in 1993 and remained with the Hornets through the 1998-99 season.

In 1999, he moved to the University of Chicago as an assistant men's basketball coach and assistant event manager for the Maroons in the University Athletic Association.

He returned to Kalamazoo as assistant director of athletics, head men's basketball coach and assistant professor in 2002. He led the Kalamazoo men's basketball team to an 18-7 record in 2002-03 for the Hornets' best record since 1993-94. During his time as the head coach, he guided four players to First Team All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (All-MIAA) honors a total of five times.

Prior to working at Kalamazoo, Passage was a player for the Hornets for four seasons from 1989-93. He started 100 of 102 games in his career, as he helped the Hornets achieved a 69-33 (.676) overall record.

He graduated from Kalamazoo with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1993. He earned a Master of Arts in Athletic Administration from Western Michigan University (also located in Kalamazoo) in 1998.

Passage and his wife Laura have two children, Owen and Brady.
