    SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University senior guard Terrell Malley (Portland, OR/Roosevelt HS), who has excited Bearcats fans by making quick drives to the basket and by swishing 3-point shots for the last four seasons, has been named Honorable Mention All-Northwest Conference for the 2012-13 season. It is the second year in a row that Malley has earned Honorable Mention All-NWC recognition.

    SALEM, ORE. -- Senior guard Terrell Malley (Portland, OR/Roosevelt HS) scored 31 points in his final basketball game for Willamette University, but nationally ranked Whitworth University placed all five starters in double figures to defeat the Bearcats, 86-67, on Saturday, Feb. 16 at Cone Field House. Whitworth, ranked #12 in the D3hoops.com Top 25, improved to 22-3 overall, 14-2 in the NWC.
  • Willamette Battles Whitman, but Missionaries Defeat Bearcats, 82-68

    SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University battled with the high-scoring Whitman College men's basketball team on Friday, Feb. 15 at Cone Field House, but the Missionaries hit 24 of 37 free throws and placed four players in double figures to defeat the Bearcats, 82-68. Josh Duckworth provided the Missionaries with 25 points, while hitting 9 of 14 field goals.

The Lutes shot 60.0% in the first half and finished the game at 55.2% (32 of 58).

    SALEM, ORE. -- Corban University shot 57.4% from the field as the Warriors defeated Willamette University, 86-66, in the first round of the Capital City Classic in men's basketball, on Friday, Nov. 23 at the C.E. Jeffers Sports Center. Corban, which competes in NAIA Division II, evened its record at 2-2, while Willamette, which competes in NCAA Division III, fell to 1-2 on the season.
