    SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University freshman designated hitter Ty Wyatt (Keizer, OR/McNary HS) has been named Second Team All-West Region for the 2014 season by D3baseball.com. Forty-two athletes were selected for All-West Region honors, split evenly between the First Team, Second Team and Third Team.

Four Bearcats earned First Team All-NWC honors for the 2014 season, while one received Second Team recognition and four were chosen for Honorable Mention.

The Loggers broke a 4-4 tie when Lucas Stone opened the bottom of the fifth inning with a solo home run.

In the first game, Whitworth scored twice in the top of the 10th inning for a 2-0 triumph.

The Bearcats advanced their record to 21-11 on the season, while L&C dropped to 9-23-1.

    SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University scored in each of the first five innings to overcome a 3-0 deficit after Corban's first at bat, and the Bearcats went on to defeat the Warriors, 9-6, on Wednesday, April 2 at John Lewis Field. The Bearcats improved to 17-10 on the season, while Corban dropped to 18-17. Both teams used a variety of pitchers. Seven Bearcats each threw one inning, before Jackson Watt (So., RHP, Rocklin, CA/Whitney HS) tossed the final two innings to earn his fourth save. Evan Giddings (So., RHP, El Cerrito, CA/St. Mary's HS), who faced just three batters while pitching the fifth frame, received the win and moved to 2-1.
