    SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University track and field athlete Jordan Loos (Sr., Springfield, OR/Thurston HS) has been selected to receive an NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. The award provides $7,500 toward graduate school tuition.

    DELAWARE, OHIO -- Meka Townsend (So., Okanogan, WA/Okanogan HS) earned 10th place in the women's javelin throw to lead four Willamette University athletes in action on Saturday, May 24 during the the last day of the 2014 NCAA Division III Track and Field Championships. The NCAA meet was held at Selby Stadium on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University.

Ostrander's time was the fastest by a Bearcat this season, as she moved into third on Willamette's all-time list.

The Bearcat women's team is ranked #2 in the West Region, while the Willamette men's team is ranked #9.
