    SALEM, ORE. -- A total of nine home games and a trip to the Midwest highlight the Willamette University men's soccer schedule for 2014. The Bearcats will play a full 20-game schedule, including 16 games in the Northwest Conference.

    SALEM, ORE. -- Willamette University men's soccer player Trevor Jensen (Sr., MF, Chula Vista, Calif./Bonita Vista HS) has signed a contract to play with the Kitsap Pumas of the United Soccer Leagues (USL). The team announced the signing, pending approval by the USL and United States Soccer Federation, on March 14.

    SALEM, ORE. -- Trevor Jensen (Sr., MF, Chula Vista, Calif./Bonita Vista HS) has been chosen Third Team All-West Region for NCAA Division III as selected by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). A total of 35 players received All-West Region honors on the First Team (11), Second Team (11) or Third Team (13).

    SALEM, ORE. -- Linfield College edged Willamette University, 1-0, in men's soccer on Saturday, Oct. 12 as Ivan Colin score the game's only goal with 2:01 left in regulation. Linfield improved to 6-4-1 overall, 3-3-1 in the NWC. Willamette ended the game at 6-4-2 on the season, 2-3-2 in the NWC.

    PARKLAND, WASH. -- Pacific Lutheran University, ranked #6 in the NCAA Division III Poll, received a goal from Derek Johnson at 107:28 to defeat visiting Willamette University, 2-1 in two overtimes, in a Northwest Conference men's soccer game on Sunday, Sept. 29. PLU advanced to 8-0-2 overall, 3-0-1 in the NWC. Willamette fell to 5-3-1 on the season, 1-2-1 in the NWC.

With the win, Concordia improved to 3-1. Willamette, which competes in NCAA Division III, lost for the first time this season and fell to 3-1.

Willamette University was picked to finish in fourth place, according to votes cast by the NWC head coaches. Whitworth University, which won the 2012 NWC title, received four first place votes and was predicted to repeat as champions this fall.
